Patrick Walsh
(A Night with Oscar Wilde)
Patrick Walsh is considered to be the
foremost authority on the works of Oscar Wilde in Ireland. He was the
recipient of The Guinness Dublin Living award for his highly commented entry
on a project he undertook on Oscar Wilde in 2000 for the centenary of his
death. He produced a book, DVD, poster and bookmarkers to mark this event.
Recently Ashford Castle hosted a number of evenings entitled
"A fireside chat with Oscar Wilde'
by Patrick Walsh, this
consisted of a pre dinner talk in the Connaught room (45
mins) followed with an after dinner chat (20 mins). He has
appeared on a number of Radio and TV shows discussing Oscar
Wilde's life and works.
