Merseybeat |
Merseybeat – A one-man musical journey
presented by Declan Walsh through the songs of
Lennon / McCartney from the Beatles and beyond.
Welcome to the world of Ireland’s newest tribute act to the
4 mop-topped lads from Liverpool who changed the world of popular music.
From the opening chords of Magical mystery tour to the final
sing along chorus of Hey Jude Declan will have you singing and
dancing through the night.
Throughout the 2 hour set, Merseybeat will take you through
the Beatles back catalogue of classic 60’s rock and roll (A hard day’s
night, I saw her standing there, Can’t buy me love, She loves you),
the more quiet side of the Lennon / McCartney partnership (Yesterday,
Blackbird, Something) and on to the great songs that came after the
Beatles (Live and let die, Band on the run, Just like starting over).
From the toppermost of the poppermost, this is the act for you if you want
an act that not only looks like, but sounds like the fab four.
Option 1:
* A straight run through the greatest hits of the Beatles with some solo
material from Lennon, McCartney and Harrison thrown in for good measure
* Costume wise it would be shoes, slacks, black polo shirt and the moptop
look
* Two hours would be the duration of this.
Option 2:
* A 2 hour set list in chronological order of the greatest hits of the
Beatles without the solo material of Lennon, McCartney or Harrison
* Costume wise there would be 2 changes. Starting with the polo shirt and
moptop wig look, moving into the Sgt Pepper fatigues for the second half
* The show can be broken down follows:
- Early Beatles / 1962 to1966
- Sgt Pepper / 1967 to 1970
